Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us that “though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. This has been the basis of our relationship. We connected through our faith journey and God has been the center of our relationship. We are braided together with God and this has sustained us since the beginning of our love story. 

God wrote our love story. A lot of us find it hard to wrap our heads around the concept of love, romance and faith. But we can affirm and testify that we have had a lot of loving memories, romance and deeply rooted faith (yep, all that and more).

It was quite unexpected. When we started talking as friends, we realized we had a lot in common and we also had a longing to have a deeper relationship with God. Today, we are husband and wife and this in itself is a testimony to the way we are carved in the palms of His hands and that God perfects all that concerns us (Psalm 138:8). 

Love and Respect. God has made it simple for us to have a symbiotic relationship with the simple yet profound concept of love and respect. The Bible clearly tells us what we have to do to have a perfect relationship, love and respect. He doesn’t give us clauses or conditions to love and to respect. We love simple because that is what He has taught us. We respect because that is what is expected of us.
